The Machinist role will be centred around supporting re-manufacture, working in the torque converter assessing, machining, assembly, final inspection of product to supporting other UK sites.

With a wide variety of skills required experience using manual equipment such as lathes, drillers and welding equipment are essential.

Key Accountabilities

* To be able to use of engineering equipment such as lathes, drillers, air tools and welding equipment to manufacture any component required by department

* To follow production procedures and work instructions where possible

* To be able to access and remanufacture production components required by department

* To complete this in adequate time and required quality standards.

* To train others if required

* To be able to work as part of a team

* To support other areas in the department when needed

* Completion of relevant paperwork and daily check sheets

* To keep work area clean and tidy

Requirements, experience, and education

* Machine shop experience, NVQ level 2 (if possible)

* Basic manual lathe machining experience

* Basic drilling machine experience

* Use of measuring equipment; Digital Vernier, Micrometres

* Manufacture of components to specific tolerances
