Extrusion Engineer

We are looking for an Extrusion Engineer to join our client's business in Brierley Hill.

Working alongside the Extrusion Lead & Technical Manager, this position offers exceptional opportunities for career development within a fast growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

* Set up and test extrusion machinery and ancillary systems.

* Configure and test complete extrusion lines, including dies, calibrators, baths, pullers, cutters, winders, and other equipment.

* Operate machinery to meet agreed specifications during Site and Factory Acceptance Tests.

* Provide technical support and address service inquiries related to extrusion equipment.

* Engage directly with customers to resolve test and service-related issues.

* Maintain accurate and detailed records for all testing and service activities.

* Travel both domestically and internationally to support projects as required.

* Collaborate with the Sales and Aftermarket teams to deliver exceptional customer service.

The Key requirements & Skills:

* Proven experience with capital equipment in the extrusion industry.

* Strong understanding of extrusion processes and hands-on expertise with extrusion machinery.

* Practical knowledge of plastic processing.

* Proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.

* Exceptional problem-solving skills with a keen eye for fault diagnosis.

* Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and colleagues.

* Ability to work independently and within a small, dedicated team.

* Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

* Computer literacy and familiarity with relevant software tools.
