Job Purpose:
We are currently partnering with a leading company in the label printing sector to find a Labels Workflow Specialist. This key role will involve working alongside the technical team to provide expert technical insight and knowledge, ensuring the smooth running of internal label printing processes. The successful candidate will assist with assessing client projects, advising on printing techniques, optimising manufacturing processes, and supporting various departments to deliver high-quality printed labels.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced flexo printer with strong technical expertise, a Print Supervisor / Production Supervisor looking to take the next step in their career, or someone in a similar technical role who is ready for a new challenge in the labels industry.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Project Assessment & Documentation: Review client projects and artwork, ensuring that all technical details are accurately assessed. Prepare documents within the company’s Management Information System (MIS) to support cost estimation and manufacturing processes.

Technical Advice & Support: Provide technical guidance and support to all departments, including production, sales, and customer service, helping resolve issues and improve the efficiency of label manufacturing.

Process Improvement: Work closely with the production team to identify and implement more efficient and effective methods for manufacturing complex and technical labels, ensuring high-quality outputs.

Research & Development (R&D): Collaborate with the team on R&D projects, supporting the development of solutions to meet specific client challenges and requirements.

Sales & Client Meetings: Assist the Sales and Customer Service teams by providing technical insights during client meetings, ensuring clients' technical needs are fully understood and addressed.

Estimating Support: Offer support to the estimating team, particularly during busy periods, to ensure timely project quoting and cost estimation.

Additional Tasks: Perform other duties as reasonably requested by the line manager to support the business needs.

Skills & Experience Required:

Technical Expertise: Previous experience in a technical printing role, with a strong understanding of flexo, ideally within a label printing environment.

Printing Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of printing techniques, common issues in the industry, and how to solve them effectively.

Experience in a Print Studio: Familiarity with working in a print studio environment, understanding the practicalities and challenges of print production.

Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple live projects at once, remaining structured and organised to meet deadlines and support the team.

Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and provide practical solutions.

Manufacturing Understanding: A solid understanding of manufacturing processes, requirements, and best practices related to printing.

Team Support: Ability to work flexibly and collaborate with various team members, providing advice and guidance as needed.

Attention to Detail: A natural aptitude for working with systems, ensuring all paperwork and technical documentation is completed accurately
