Title: Compounds Operative

Location: Ashbourne

Salary: £13.17 per hour

Hours/Shifts: 48 hours per week Monday to Thursday - Rotating days then nights

Teleios Recruitment are urgently looking for a Compounds Operative to join their client who are a leading supplier of extruded and fabricated plastic products.

The position of Compounds Operative will report to the Senior Operator / shift manager.

Area can be dusty and require face mask/breathing aids at times along with regular physical activities,such as lifting of the compounds.

Compounds Operative duties

* Ensuring the mixing and compounding work load is met and run to plan in a timely, efficient and safe manner.

* Assume responsibility for the running of the shift and over-seeing of the compounds planned work schedule in the absence of the senior operator (and after full training)

* Ensuring that arrival on the plant at the beginning of shift change over allows time for an effective shift hand over and communication of on-going work

* Adherence to company policy’s and health and safety requirements at all times, including safe use of the fork truck and use of PPE equipment.

* Ensuring all raw material produced are manufactured in-line with the required quality and colour checks including the accurate completion of run sheets and production documentation

Additional duties

* Any other reasonable duties falling within the remit of the compounds area, including grinding which may be requested by the compounds manager or compounds colourist/planner
