Senior Quantity Surveyor

My client based near Ely, Cambridgeshire are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a full time permanent basis. Looking for a proactive individual with a professional attitude, who wishes to grow and develop further with support and guidance. Working with the Principal Quantity Surveyor, you will be expected to take full responsibility for multiple projects from inception through to completion, following the induction period.
Full Clean Driving Licence required
Hours - Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm (2x Days WFH)
Salary - £45-48,000 depending on experience
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum requirement shortly commencing final year of an RICS recognised degree course, but ideally already awarded a RICS recognised degree and either working towards or having gained RICS charter status in the Quantity Surveying and Construction pathway.
Further training, support and funding will be offered to undertake to complete the degree or charter status if applicable.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Performing all Quantity Surveying, Cost Consultant and Employers Agent duties
Carrying out feasibility studies and reports
Cost Estimates and reports
Providing procurement and tendering advise to Clients
Programming projects to meet key milestones
Drafting Employers Requirements, Preliminaries and Project Briefs
Producing Contract Sum Analysis, Pricing Schedules and Price Framework Agreements
Producing Sectional Analysis schedules and phasing plans
Compiling tender documentation
Drafting Contracts
Carrying out valuations and cost statements
Issuing and pricing variations
Chairing pre-contact and site meetings and producing minutes
Producing Final Accounts
Required Skills:
Good communication skills Confident in dealing with Clients and Contractors
Excellent knowledge of JCT Traditional, Design & Build, Intermediate and Minor Works Contracts
A knowledge of PPC 2000 partnering form of contact and Measured Term Contracts would be beneficial
Good technical/construction knowledge
Experience of working for Housing Associations and Local Authorities would be an advantage
Competent IT literacy (Word, Excel & Outlook)
A positive can do attitude
Possess excellent attention to detail
Flexibility to cope under pressure and handle a variety of activities simultaneously
Ability to organise workload, prioritise and work to tight deadlines
Ability to work well as part of a team and using your own initiative
