Dunbar Education is proud to partner with a dedicated SEN Provision in Milton Keynes that supports pupils aged 11-17 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and behavioural challenges. We are currently seeking an experienced Education Liaison Officer to join their team and make a significant impact in the lives of these young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary liaison between the SEN Provision and external educational institutions, ensuring a cohesive approach to support and resources.
Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage with parents, teachers, promoting collaboration in supporting students' needs.
Assess individual pupil needs, identifying barriers to learning and development, and provide tailored advice and support to enhance educational outcomes.
Monitor pupil progress and engagement, providing feedback and recommendations for necessary interventions and adjustments to support plans.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and other professionals, to coordinate comprehensive support for pupils.
Conduct regular reviews of educational plans and interventions, ensuring that they remain effective and relevant to the needs of the pupils.
Advocate for pupils' needs within the educational system, ensuring they have access to the necessary resources and support.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of pupil interactions, progress, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with safeguarding and data protection regulations.Qualifications and Experience:

Previous experience working with children or young people with behavioural challenges, ideally within a SEN context.
A strong understanding of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and their impact on educational performance.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Ability to build effective relationships with pupils, families, and educational professionals.
Previous UK experience in a similar role (minimum of 6 months).Requirements:

Must have a current DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
