Role Overview:
As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting the teaching and learning of young children aged (between 0 and 4 years old) in our nursery setting. You will assist the teaching staff in delivering a range of engaging activities that promote children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for early years education and a commitment to making a difference in young children's lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the lead teacher in delivering high-quality early years education and care.
Support individual children or small groups with learning activities and play.
Help children develop social, emotional, and communication skills through guided interactions.
Create a safe and stimulating learning environment, ensuring that all resources are accessible and engaging.
Observe and record children's progress and developmental milestones.
Ensure children's health and safety, following all safeguarding procedures.
Work closely with colleagues to plan and implement age-appropriate activities and routines.
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and carers.
Support children with additional needs, under the guidance of senior staff.
Essential Requirements:
A recognised Early Years Qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) or equivalent.
Experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting.
A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and well-being.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
A positive, patient, and proactive approach to working with children.
Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
