Senior Quantity Surveyor

Senior Quantity Surveyor required for highways project based in the Norfolk area, working for a National Highway's contractor.
Based in the Norfolk area, this highways project will require a Senior QS for at least 2 years.
You will hold experience as a Quantity Surveyor on contractor side delivering projects for National Highways projects.
Duties include:
·Providing the commercial function across projects to ensure successful project delivery.
·Working within a team of talented professionals ensuring co-ordination and provision across all aspects of project delivery.
·Undertake pre-contract setup, including forecasting, measurement, sub-contract tendering and procurement (including drafting to negotiating various forms of subcontract).
·Effectively manage the commercial aspects of the project (or a section of a project) including valuations / applications, budget monitoring, material / plant reconciliation and contract variations / compensation events and change.
·Prepare, manage and negotiate the agreement of Final Accounts.
·Procurement and management of subcontract packages, as well as supporting other members of the commercial team in the management of subcontract packages.
·Produce and maintain, and assist others in producing and maintaining, project forecasts to support the monthly commercial and financial reporting procedures.
·Assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
You will be a degree qualified Quantity Surveyor with experience on major projects having worked for major contractors.
Initially the role will be on a 2-year contract with more work in the pipeline with this contractor in the area.
