Head of Engineering with a background in full stack development (Python, PHP, JavaScript, AWS) and strong team leadership skills is sought on a hybrid basis by a high growth PaaS scale up based in Manchester.

With over five years of growth this organisation have revolutionized data insights accessibility for their international retail and e-commerce clients resulting in global growth.

As the team adds additional platform functionality this Head of Engineering will work closely with the Head of Data and Product on developing a robust yet flexible technical roadmap whilst driving best practice, workflow management and an autonomous, entrepreneurial culture across the engineering team.

This Head of Engineering based near Manchester should have most of the following key skills:

- A background in full stack development (python, PHP, JavaScript etc)
- Experience building and supporting web applications in AWS
- Cloud native architecture experience
- Solid pipeline automation skills (CI/CD)
- Experience leading TDD, automated engineering teams
- Proven team leadership skills
- Ability to shape a technical strategy
- Experience working in a data heavy, product led environment
