As a Science Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring that practical science lessons run smoothly and safely. Your enthusiasm for science and commitment to providing high-quality support will be essential in helping students achieve their full potential.

Science Technician Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate for this position should have the capability to support practical lessons across all three sciences.
Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science experiments.
Support teachers during practical lessons by ensuring all resources are ready and available.
Maintain and organize the science laboratories, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked.
Assist in the safe disposal of chemical and biological waste.
Manage and maintain an inventory of science equipment and resources.
Support students during practical activities, providing guidance and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Science Technician Requirements:

Previous experience working as a Science Technician in a school setting is desirable.
Strong knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and best practices.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and students.
A passion for science and education.
Relevant qualifications in science or a related field.
