Class 1 Driver with Refrigeration Experience

Location: Worksop
Pay Rate: £15.50 - £17.37

Shifts - Days with possible night outs

Job Type: Temporary

The role:

We are recruiting for Class 1 Drivers on behalf of our client who are a leading logistic company specializing in the transportation of refrigerated goods and who pride their selves on exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

* Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle with a refrigerated trailer for the transportation of temperature-sensitive products.

* Ensure that refrigeration units are functioning correctly and maintain the required temperature throughout the journey.

* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including checks on refrigeration equipment.

* Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.

* Deliver goods to specified locations on time while ensuring the safe handling and delivery of the products.

* Complete necessary paperwork, including delivery notes, logs, and temperature records.

* Provide excellent customer service during drop-offs and pick-ups.

* Report any vehicle faults or issues promptly to the maintenance team.

Requirements:

* Valid Class 1 driving license (C+E).

* Proven experience in operating refrigerated vehicles.

* Good knowledge of transport regulations and road safety.

* Strong understanding of refrigeration units and temperature control.

* Ability to work independently and manage your schedule.

* Excellent communication and customer service skills.

* A clean driving record and no major violations.

* Flexibility to work across various shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
