Bluewater Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Estimator to work for a construction contractor based in Newtown
Job Purpose and Scope:
Responsible for producing detailed and competitive tenders within an allocated deadline. Other responsibilities include the measurement of tender drawings, reviewing specifications and issuing RFIs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation and negotiation of tendering submission
• Measuring and Quantity Take-Off from drawings
• Producing Bills of Quantities
• Sourcing pre-project information
• Visit sites UK-wide and record information that may affect pricing i.e. access, location of services, etc.
• Preparing packages to send out enquiries to suppliers and subcontractors including the relevant drawings, specifications, etc.
• Analysing sub-contractor quotations and checking inclusions and exclusions
• Producing Tender reports
• Ensuring all tenders are delivered to the appropriate place on time
• Attending pre and post-tender interviews, client meetings
• Preparing outline construction programmes
The client is offering a competitive basic salary coupled with a generous company benefit package.
A valid CSCS, SMSTS & First Aid is required for this position.
