Roles and Responsibilities of a Primary school teacher assistant - Newham

An established primary school in Newham seeks a primary school teaching assistant to support children across Key Stages 1 and 2 as well as assisting the teacher with any daily tasks that need to be completed. Teacher's assistants in primary schools work closely with children to support their academic abilities, such as working with children with special needs and learning disabilities, every day in order to ensure that they are reaching their full potential. It will be crucial for you as a Primary School Teaching Assistant to be able to build a good relationship with the children you work with - whether you work with them 1:1 or in a group setting. It would be your responsibility to liaise with teachers, the SENDCO, and other teacher assistants in primary schools. Additionally, there are possibilities of leading intervention groups within your class or year group for children who are part of your class.
