The Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant Role:

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing both academic and emotional support to students with SEMH needs. You will work closely with teachers, specialists, and support staff to create a positive learning environment that encourages student growth and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEMH needs.

Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Create a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters positive behaviour.

Collaborate with teachers and specialists to tailor lessons to the needs of each student.

Support students in their personal, social, and emotional development.

Candidate Requirements:

Ideally a Degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field is preferred.

Passion for Special Education and a genuine interest in working with students who have SEMH needs.

*

Ideal for graduates looking to pursue a career in educational psychology, counselling, or special needs education.

*

Excellent Communication Skills, along with the ability to engage and motivate students with varying needs.

You will need a positive attitude and a proactive and empathetic approach to supporting learning.
