Our client based in Farnborough, welcome people who share their determination and high standards to join them in doing work that moves the world forward. They are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join them, who is looking to take their next step in their career and be a team leader.
Primary Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the following:-
Coordinates and directs the design, planning, construction, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Key Responsibilities
* Inspects plant and evaluates use of space and facilities.
* Analyzes firms HVAC systems, computer network, lighting and other factors.
* Plans, budgets and schedules facilities modifications including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, and contracts for construction and acquisitions.
* Performs audits to support facility planning.
* Acts as liaison to public utility, environmental and energy agencies.
* Manages subordinate supervisors in the Maintenance Department.
* Maintains the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above.
* Understands and lives by ethics and business conduct policies.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience
Essential
* Must possess an outstanding degree of judgment, organization, planning, initiative, flexibility and creativity
* Must be able to perform calmly and reasonably under pressure from demand for production and other exigencies
* Requires capability to be resourceful and very creative with machinery and facilities
* Physical capability of lifting materials up to 50 pounds and carrying up and down steps, walking to various programs as the situation warrants
* Exposure to chemical odors such as DPA, Ammonia and Ethanol
* BS degree from a four-year college or university
* Two to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education/experience
* Working knowledge with MS Word and Excel
* Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations
