Rugby, United Kingdom Fastnet Group Full time

Are you a passionate, patient and creative Teacher, Tutor /TA with experience in adapting and supporting learners to overcome barriers, then we want to hear from you
Our client is looking for an outreach Tutor
You would be considered an agency worker. There is no need register as self-employed, but if you prefer to do it that way, we can still work with you.
Tutoring Delivery:
Most of the pupils we work with need support with Maths and English, in a way that is adaptable to their needs, engaging and fun As a Tutor, you will decide what will be covered in each session (supported by the team) and be flexible in your approach, to find a way that works for your pupil(s).
** Sessions are in-person and on a 1:1 basis **
Time & Location:
Our sessions fall in line with most schools, so they take place during term time, and would typically take place no earlier than 08:30, and no later than 16:30. The location of your sessions would be dependent on each individual assignment/pupil. Sessions may take place at a school, in a pupils home (or residential care home), or at an agreed public venue like a Library or family centre.
Pupils:
We work with a range of pupils with varying needs. Most pupils we work with are 11-16 years old, and are either children in care, children with special educational needs, or just in need of additional support.
Resources:
You will have access to a catalogue of internal resources & printables, as well as access to material from resource/learning platforms like Twinkl and BKSB. If you do ever need to deliver sessions online, you will also be supported with MS Teams or Bramble, however these requests are rare.
Hours & Pay:
As an agency worker, you would be paid for each hour of tutoring delivered, and assignments (along with number of hours required each week) would be discussed and agreed before sessions begin.
The aim is for Tutors to take assignments within a reasonable distance of home, and anyone travelling further would receive a higher hourly rate for the given assignment to offset some of the additional travel expense.
Qualifications:
As a minimum we would require one of the following qualifications:
* PTLLS, CTLLS or DTLLS
* PGCE (in primary, secondary or education – as long as the qualification is in the delivery of education) or QTS
* Level 3 in either Teaching Assistant qual / HLTA, NVQ in teaching & learning or Level 3 NVQ in learning and development
Experience
* At least 3 years of teaching experience supporting pupils and you must be comfortable working with KS4 children
* Any SEND experience or experience with challenging pupils would also be advantageous, particularly as our Client receives a lot of referrals from the SEND team
Reporting:
You will need to complete a timesheet and detailed reports by Friday every week for each pupil you work with. Key documents are shared via google drive on your own individual company address.
Here's an example of how a typical assignment works:
* We discuss details of a pupil in need of support (for example 8 hours per week) and you agree to support
* You contact the parent/carer/school to introduce yourself and set up a session schedule
* You agree days/times with them - for example Mon-Thu, 09:00 - 11:00
* You deliver sessions in the given subjects (Maths/English) every subsequent week on the same days/times until support is no longer required for that pupil. This could be anything from a few weeks to over a year.
* Each week you submit a timesheet detailing the sessions you complete, and a weekly report of what has taken place in each session, as well as targets to measure the progress made. (Note - if you are self-employed you also send in an invoice at the end of the week. If not, you only need to send the timesheet and report)
* If you have more availability, you can take on additional pupils outside of your current assignment
* You complete a timesheet and a report each week, and you are paid by the following Friday.
Bonuses & Benefits:
* CPD support (accredited courses)
* Tutor referral scheme
* Performance bonus scheme (Tutor of the week)
