Join a Leading Contractor as an Estimator – Reading Office – Up to £75K + Package

Are you an experienced Estimator looking for your next challenge? A dynamic and forward-thinking contractor, known for delivering high-quality projects across the UK, is seeking a talented Estimator to join their team in Reading.

The Role: As an Estimator, you will play a key role in the preparation of cost estimates for a range of construction projects, ensuring all tender submissions are accurate, competitive, and aligned with client expectations. You'll work closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, and senior leadership to provide cost forecasts, manage risk assessments, and deliver on project budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately estimate costs for construction projects from initial concept through to final tender.

Analyse tender documentation and scope of works to identify any potential risks or challenges.

Collaborate with design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary cost data.

Prepare and submit tender proposals and cost breakdowns for projects across a variety of sectors.

Contribute to the development of project budgets, schedules, and resource plans.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry (ideally with a main contractor).

Strong understanding of cost estimation methods, building regulations, and the tendering process.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

High level of attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

A relevant qualification in construction or a related field is desirable.
