SEN Teaching Assistants Needed ASAP

Position: Full-Time, Monday to Friday

Pay Rate: £100-£110 per day (Depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with a variety of Special Educational Needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and speech and language difficulties, helping them access and engage with the curriculum.

* Assist in the development and implementation of tailored Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies to meet the diverse needs of each student.

* Support classroom activities, working closely with the teacher to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment where all students can thrive.

* Adapt lesson plans and resources to ensure SEN students can fully participate in lessons, promoting understanding and confidence in their learning.

* Monitor and record the progress and development of students, providing valuable feedback to teachers, SENCOs, and parents to help shape their ongoing learning journey.

* Implement behaviour management techniques to ensure a calm and productive learning environment, helping students regulate their emotions and focus on learning.

* Offer emotional support and build positive, trusting relationships with students, fostering an environment where they feel valued and supported.

* Collaborate with external professionals, such as speech therapists and occupational therapists, to implement specific strategies and interventions tailored to individual student needs.

* Prepare and organize resources, teaching aids, and classroom materials to support differentiated learning experiences for SEN students.

* Encourage and support students in developing their social skills, confidence, and self-esteem during lessons, group work, and unstructured times such as playtime and lunch.

Qualifications and Attributes:

* A genuine passion for working with children with SEN and a commitment to their educational and personal development.

* Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.

* Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

* Adaptability to meet the varied needs of students and respond to dynamic classroom environments.

* Previous experience working with children or young people in any capacity, particularly in an educational or SEN setting, is highly desirable but not essential.

* An enhanced DBS on the Online Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
