Senior Quantity Surveyor – Affordable Housing RC Frame Apartment Scheme, West London

Established for twenty years and being a 5 star rated affordable housing contractor, our client are seeking an experienced and highly motivated **Senior Quantity Surveyor** to join the team on a brand new, 200-unit multi-block affordable housing RC Frame scheme in West London.

**About the Role:**

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for all aspects of cost management throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-construction to completion. Your key responsibilities will include:

* Preparing and managing detailed cost plans and budgets.
* Procurement of sub-contractors.
* Value engineering and cost control measures.
* Managing variations and claims.
* Producing monthly cost reports and forecasting.
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
* Collaborating with the project team, including site management and the client.
* Managing and mentoring junior members of the team (potential depending on experience).

**About You:**

* Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on similar sized projects (ideally RC frame residential developments), with a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying.
* Excellent understanding of construction processes and procurement methods.
* Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Experience working on affordable housing projects for a main contractor is highly desirable.
* A proactive approach and a strong commitment to teamwork.
* Valid UK driving licence is advantageous.
