Transport Supervisor - Night Shift Established in 1938, Cotteswold Dairy is one of the UK's leading independent, family-owned dairies.

The successful applicant will hold a current valid Class 1 or Class 2 HGV Driving Licence, with an updated CPC and Digital Driver's Card.

Our dedicated Learning & Development co-ordinator supports our Trainee HGV programme, NVQ programmes and academic progression; our Internal Trainer runs frequent practical FLT and PPT courses throughout the year.
You will supprt this training process as part of your role, while developing your own skills and competencies.
We impliment a buddy system for all training - so you will train alongside one of our experienced Transport Supervisors, and the Fleet Logistics Manager.
The Transport Supervisor Role Working in the Tewkesbury Haulage & Distribution Office our Transport Supervisors lead, supervise and coordinate our team of HGV Drivers, Tanker Drivers, Shunters, Banksmen and Trainees.
Reporting to the Fleet Logistics Manager, you will liaise with various departments across the business, and our clients, to ensure distribution runs smoothly & any issues are dealt with quickly, efficiently and professionally.
You will work alongside the Office Administrator to ensure paperwork is properly filed, and carry out probationary reviews, return to work documentation and conduct interviews for new recruits.
You will support Trainee HGV Drivers in their learning & development; and coordinate with Management and the HR Department to address any employee relations issues, and conduct Performance Development Reviews with the team.
Key duties will include: Supervise all drivers to ensure deliveries are made to customers at the correct time and with the highest levels of customer service Ensuring all paperwork is correct and documentation in order when drivers return to the site Plan, organise and utilise resources effectively, ensuring the employee rota is issued and holiday and sickness is covered Provide cover for other roles within the Haulage Department when required including Banksman and Shunter Driver Transport Supervisor Working Hours † Full time, 48 hours per week.
Night time Hours: 1900 - 0700 across Tuesday Night to Friday Night.
