Fleet Engineer - Birmingham Have you got what it takes to succeed The following information should be read carefully by all candidates.
CrossCountry are seeking an experienced Fleet Engineer to manage the process of Engineering Change with the Train Service Provider and Lessor throughout; Inclusive of scrutinising of requests for change through to recommendation to issue sanction to proceed from CrossCountry Professional Head of Fleet & Engineering or Nominated Deputy.
The successful candidate will ensure that accurate records of train configuration are maintained by the Train Service Provider; Ensure that regular review meetings are held with the Train Service Provider and that safety issues are being captured effectively and managed appropriately.
Responsibilities of the role include; Support the Professional Head of Fleet & Engineering CrossCountry with the provision of detailed reports, technical advice and project management to ensure that the safety and performance of CrossCountry is maintained and to ensure that modification requests are prioritised effectively.
Support the Fleet & Contract Manager with identifying and developing business cases to improve performance by enhancing fleet reliability.
Support the Fleet & Contract Manager with identifying and developing business cases to optimise maintenance activities and extract best value from fleet operation.
Deputise for all professional engineering matters.
• Participate in Fleet 'On Call Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications & Training Essential: Post Holder must have Chartered Engineer status or be working towards it.
Tertiary Level qualifications in Engineering and Associated fields.
Previous experience of Railway Vehicle technical issue or depot management.
Personal Track Safety Awareness (TOC PTS Certification to be provided on commencement).
