Fife Coast and Countryside Trust are seeking a Litter Operative to carry out cleaning duties under the direction of the Litter Lead Hand.
The role includes removing litter from beaches, grass areas, roads, paths etc, using the necessary tools and equipment; emptying litter bins; and cleaning and maintaining coastal public toilets.Location: Leven Heritage Rail Yard, with regular travel to FCCT sites in FifeSalary: £23,Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week, (which may include occasional weekend / evening work which is paid @Time + 1/3)Contract Type: PermanentBenefits: Annual leave entitlement of 25 days plus 8 days public holidays; LGPS Pension Scheme; Cycle to Work and Discounts Scheme; Training and Professional Development.Closing Date: Noon, Monday December 9th, About You:Experience in litter maintenance.Literate and numerateWorking knowledge of safe working practices.Able to develop and maintain good working relationships with a wide range of people.Ability to work as part of a team or individually.Able to take on instruction.Willingness to use and act upon own initiative.Adaptable and motivated team workerEnthusiasm for the role and flexibility to meet changing needs.Valid driving licence.Good standard of communication skillsResponsible character, confident and capable of working independently.Proactive and hard-working attitude.Able to travel independently throughout Fife.Excellent team playerWork will be delivered over a five-day shift pattern including weekend and evening work as required.
