Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist to work alongside a dynamic team across North Yorkshire with Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will offer a high standard of evidence-based physiotherapy, working autonomously to carry a caseload within a wider team that offers patients' assistance with chronic / subacute MSK problems.
The post holder will be able to diagnose and work to develop best evidenced based rehabilitation programmes in collaboration with the patient that are best suited for the patients' individual needs to promote health and wellbeing.
The individual must be able to commute between clinical bases within the "One Community" to provide care provision for Whitby, Scarborough, Pocklington, and Ryedale dependent on the Services need.
Both face to face and telephone consultations will be an expectation in line with the patients' preferences.
The individual will be required to provide colleague supervision, share best evidence practice and participate in clinical audits.
The individual must have a sound MSK clinical knowledge base with self awareness of personal limitations that can be supported.
Main duties of the job Core Functions To deal with the diagnosis and treatment of problems arising from the musculoskeletal system.
This includes injuries and diseases affecting the muscles, bones and joints of the limbs and spine.
To undertake the specialist physiotherapy assessment and management of Musculo-skeletal (MSK) and orthopaedic patients within the MSK service.
To determine clinical diagnosis/need and deliver physiotherapy intervention as indicated.
To effectively triage patients following telephone initial assessment and direct them on for further telephone/virtual sessions or face to face clinic appointments.
To hold responsibility for own caseload, as an autonomous practitioner To continue to demonstrate specialist clinical skills in practice and provide support, training, and advice re: the delivery of care in partnership with patients, relatives, staff, students, managers, and externally with other agencies.
Mobilise throughout the bases within the "One Community" to provide care provision for Whitby, Scarborough, Pocklington and Ryedale as required.
