We are currently looking for an experienced Multi Site Laboratory Technician at our Barnstone plant in Nottingham.
The site is easily accessible from Coalville, Mansfield, Derby, Castle Donnington, Newark on Trent, Loughborough, Melton Mowbray, Leicester, Stamford, and the surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities Reporting to the Testing and Quality Manager, the Multi Site Laboratory Technician role will carry out quality control testing of Blue Circle and Microcems as well as products from the wider Packed Products business, covering laboratories based at Barnstone, Swains Park and Tunstead.
This is a key role which includes robust and rigorous testing of products to ensure they reach the correct quality, safety requirements and company standards.
A driving licence is essential as travel between sites is a requirement of the role, a business van will be provided.
Main responsibilities include, but are not restricted to: Testing Blue Circle Products and Microcems along with products produced in the wider Tarmac business.
Maintaining workplace tidiness Ensure equipment is within calibration Achieve Laboratory Safety Goals Achieve laboratory KPIs ensuring customer demands are met The Ideal Candidate The ideal Multi Site Laboratory Technician candidate must be able to manage their own time, keep up to date with calibrations, conduct maintenance of laboratory equipment and ensure work areas are tidy efficient and safe.
You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of raw material usage in cementitious products, making decisions during optimization of finished goods.
You will have excellent time management enabling testing to be carried out efficiently, reducing any downtime with production waiting for direction.
You will also hold a full UK driving licence and hold GSCE qualification (or equivalent) in Science/Chemistry.
