Job Title: Project Manager The Project Manager has overall responsibility and accountability for providing professional leadership and management of their designated contracts and projects.
Dedicated for facilitating the project development and progress from initiation to completion.
Project Managers play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are achieved on time and within budget constraints, adhering to the QHSE legislation, company polices and ensuring that their respective work streams are compliant.
The Project Manager plays a pivotal part in collaboration and coordination with the designated client, senior management team, functional and operational teams for the successful delivery of results within deadlines and budget constraints.
Accountable for every stage of the project life cycle / process.
Monitoring progress, summarizing results, and communicating with management, clients, and other stakeholders.
Exceptional client management capabilities and be focused on delivering results that meet or exceed expectations.
General Responsibilities: The project manager is to demonstrate a professional representation of the business and the core values.
- Attend client meetings, collaborate and owns the key relationships with the clients' representatives.
- Responsible for detailed schedule, project parameters, and budget expectations, measure project performance and progress throughout - Securing, delivery with successful execution of multiple projects or contracts - Effective implementation of the businesses Policies & Procedures - Create and set up project files with implementation of the project specific documentation ensuring these are regularly updated and audit ready at any time.
Document project activities, obstacles, costs, and results.
- Coordinate all pre constriction and operational activities, schedule and attend meetings for the project development and execution.
- Fully conversant and instrumental with complying to the QHSE legislation, clients HS requirements and company policies and procedures.
- Manage staffing and other resource needs to maximize potential for successful execution of projects.
- Familiar with the SOW and project objectives, identifying involvement of internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct ongoing risk analysis to reduce unforeseen obstacles and costs.
- Attend and lead monthly contract / project reviews – providing a summary of the scope, schedule, and cost v sales with the business and functional leads.
- Delegate project activities and duties to their respective supervisors to ensure that daily activities are adhered to and monitored.
- Engage in continual learning to remain abreast of industry best practices, innovative technologies, and emerging standards.
- Responsible for the implementation of the QHSE process and procedures across the respective work streams - Provide leadership and management overseeing project supervisors, mentoring, and developing.
- Knows and aware and understands the contractual obligations.
- Managing scope creep through change orders, phased delivery or other methods to ensure projects deliver on time, scope, and budget.
- Track and report all associated costs v sales on each project / contract.
The Project Manager has overhaul accountability, responsible for the leadership and management of the respective contracts / projects.
Key Specifics: - Client - Manage the respective client and other stakeholder expectations to build and maintain productive and engaging / close relationships to ensure the key objectives are adhered to.
- Commercial & Finance – Accountable for costs v sales, understand contract obligations to ensure these are in line with the business expectations.
- QHSE - Overall responsible for 100% compliance against business and clients' policies and procedures - People / Resources - Ensuring that the business has correct alignment of competent resources, development and retaining of talent.

Skills: - Familiarity with project management programs and processes - Strong budget management to minimize project cost overruns - Ability to set and meet project deadlines while maintaining the highest standards - Excellent quality analysis and control - Effective written and verbal communication skills - Ability to build and train teams, identify the right tasks for each team member, and delegate responsibilities accordingly - Consistent conflict resolution skills - Multi-tasking capability to efficiently manage multiple campaigns simultaneously - Ability to align with the company's vision and mission - High stress tolerance - Strategic thinking and creative planning - Data analytical skills to analyse project goals, ongoing metrics, and results - Documentation and reporting abilities - Time, resource, and organizational management - The ability to identify and analyse problems, create innovative solutions, and make informed decisions to facilitate project success - Risk analysis and mitigation Knowledge: - Competent in Health and Safety law and legislation - Environmental legislation - Understanding of the difference between mark up and margin – cost v sales - Contracts NEC and JCT - Fully competent with Project Management methodology (desirable) Experience: - Minimum of 5 years' proven project management experience in the utility sector - Demonstratable evidence of having managing teams - Proven experience in delivering multiple projects on various scales - Clean and Waste water mains renewals experience - various methods Qualifications: - Recognized technical qualifications in construction, mechanical or electrical or similar - Written and verbal literacy and numeracy - APM (desirable) - CDM regulations (desirable) - SMSTS (desirable) - IOSH (desirable) - NRSWA - EUSR Aptitude: - Interpersonal and communication skills - Strong influencing skills - Ability to inspire confidence - Can manage a high degree of variability - High degree of integrity - Highly motivated and self-aware - Highly organized with attention to detail - Results focused Circumstances: - Able to travel across the UK and Global as the needs of the role requires
