Our dedicated team in Hamilton, Glasgow, is expanding, and we're excited to welcome a talented Senior Design Engineer (Multi-Utility) to join us.
As a Senior Design Engineer working under the Energetics brand, you will play a vital role in designing multi-utility networks for new housing, industrial, commercial, or multi-occupancy projects.
Youll manage the process from quote acceptance through to securing timely design approval for adoption purposes, supporting commercial activities as needed and liaising with sales teams on technical matters.
Each design will require your expertise to secure the necessary technical approvals for construction, along with completion of bill of quantities, design variations, and costings, all in line with commercial and financial procedures.

25 days holiday, increasing after 2 years by 1 day each year up to 30 days, plus 9 public holidays Holiday buy scheme Discretionary bonus EV and ULEV salary sacrifice scheme (subject to minimum length of service) Cycle to work salary sacrifice scheme Up to 7% employer pension contribution Life assurance (x4 annual basic salary) Refer a friend incentive Wagestream Employee assistance programme Car allowance Hybrid working for eligible roles (3 days in the office, 2 from home) * Flexible start and finish times for eligible roles* Private medical insurance* Company sick pay* *Some of our benefits are only applicable when you have successfully completed your probation period* Your responsibilities as a Senior Design Engineer: Manage a portfolio of multi-utility design projects ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards and technical policies and bulletins Responsible for managing all aspects of the design life-cycle from quotation acceptance to adoption, ensuring that time-bound milestones are achieved Responsible for ensuring accurate project documentation is recorded Liaison with Design Engineers to ensure appropriate technical input and compliance with standards is achieved.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including Delivery Teams, Operations Team and developers Liaise as required with external agencies including gas / electricity network operators and water companies Experience / Knowledge: Experience of designing either single or multi-utility projects in a range of domestic, commercial and multiple-occupancy settings, including large scale multi phase projects, Experience of CMD regulations and ability to interpret and apply to design solutions Practical knowledge of relevant new roads and streetworks regulations Ability to effectively understand and interpret complex engineering drawings and appropriate commercial documentation Ability to adapt to or have experience of commercial / in-house design and costingpackaging including Gasworks, Windebut and SNAP Qualifications: Minimum of HNC in an Engineering related discipline SHEA Power / Water / Gas Registered to minimum EngTech level with IET/IGEM/IOW Have you got the drive to go to the Last Mile as a Senior Design Engineer?
