St Cross Building, St Cross Road, Oxford The position of Inclusion Data Analyst is an exciting new role at the Law Faculty, created through a philanthropic gift from a major law firm to the Faculty of Law.
It is designed to transform and accelerate our ambition to ensure that students are able to fulfil their academic potential, regardless of their non-academic characteristics, including but not limited to those set out in the EA 2010.
At the centre of the project will be data analysis, to help inform the selection and design of measures the Faculty will implement to deliver on its ambition.
The Inclusion Data Analyst will be line managed by the Vice Dean, and will work closely with the Access & Outreach, Admissions, EDI, Undergraduate Studies and Careers Liaison Teams The Inclusion Data Analyst will work with relevant datasets available to the Faculty to analyse factors that predict outcomes of interest to assist in designing measures that the Faculty can take so as best to support its students and be able to explore points of intersection between the challenges facing the Faculty and employers in this area, particularly as regards graduate entry into the labour market.
Equipped with findings from our data analysis and those of our partners, this will offer a unique opportunity to develop a dynamic and sector-leading programme to address these complex issues.
The role holder will spend most of their time working on analysis in support of the foregoing programme, there will be flexibility for the successful candidate to pursue a small, clearly defined amount of time (up to 20%) on independent research.
Further discussion of this possibility will be explored at interview stage with shortlisted candidates.
The position is fixed term for three years.
This will encompass the set-up phase of the programme.
If the set-up phase is a success, then there may be the opportunity for extension of the role to a permanent position.
The role holder will be based at the Faculty of Law, St Cross Building, St Cross Road, Oxford, OX1 3UL.
The Faculty of Law operates a flexible working policy, whereby staff work on site for a minimum of 40% of their contracted weekly hours.
The Faculty of Law is an Athena Swan Bronze Award holder.
