Due to expansion plans and new production lines being installed, they are looking for an Extrusion Setter to join their team.
Role & Responsibilities: Setting, operating and monitoring one of the companies main extruder machines Completing quality checks on the machines and materials Make sure the extrusion machine is running efficiently to maxmise output and reduce downtime Take responsibility for own workload, thinking on your own feet, booking in rolls onto the company stock systems, labelling products correctly Basic maintenance checks, including roller and die cleaning Quality sampling of finished sheet roll - looking at gauge, clarity and slip reports Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Ideally have extrusion machinery experience Role could suit transferable skills from someone doing a machine minder position previously Need to have an eye for detail, able to follow plans, complete quality checks Be a proactive and positive individual Flexible to working rotating shifts and overtime when needed Team player, working in a small team of extrusion setters An aspirational character - looking for people that potentially want to step up into supervisor positions in the near future Ideally have good technical / machine experience and understanding Need to have Driving Licence & Car, as site has no access to public transport due to location Hunter Selection Limited is a recruitment consultancy with offices UK wide, specialising in permanent & contract roles within Engineering & Manufacturing, IT & Digital, Science & Technology and Service & Sales sectors.
