The individual will be the focal point for the operation of MPP DEO at a strategic level working across DEO to drive delivery to performance cost and time.
The individual will be an experienced senior manager in project delivery with strong commercial awareness who has the ability to understand the interdependencies in large portfolios and identify where early interventions are required to address emerging issues and drive through responses with delivery teams, commercial colleagues, suppliers and customers.
MPP 1 Stars are responsible for the delivery of projects and engage the customers, however this individual will work with the delivery 1 stars and teams, commercial and CSP senior team to understand the Pf wide issues being experienced and either develop solutions or identify, and facilitate, higher level intervention to resolve issues and drive performance improvement.
They will need to quickly develop an understanding of the DEO alliance, its performance and where necessary engage with commercial, stakeholders and suppliers to drive delivery.
The individual will need to understand the DEO supplier alliancing and support the MPP Dir/MPP PfO Head to address any slippages, commercial issues and/or performance concerns to ensure that DEO operates within allocated budgets, customers are engaged and informed and alliance benefits are delivered.
You'll be responsible for: Performance, Cost and Time (PCT) - Focus on PCT with a view to spotting an early the threats and intervene beforehand to avoid drift and improve our delivery of DEO.
Work with delivery teams, commercial colleagues and customers to identify and address barriers to delivery.
Pace - Drive pace in delivery, challenging the front end of the two-stage process to deliver at improved pace.
Working with the DEO PMO ensure there is a clear understanding of performance at portfolio level, trends are identified, and action taken to ensure delivery to plan.
Project pipeline – work with MPP 1 Stars and delivery teams to ensure that DEO project pipeline is deliverable, resourced and suppliers are ready.
People and leadership – Communicate and build commitment, working with 1 Star delivery leads in support of their delivery and coherence.
Understand and drive customer/cross TLB commitment and enabling support.
Planning, scheduling and resourcing – At a strategic level understand the interdependencies across projects to optimise the organisation's return on investment.

Degree/Post Graduate (or equivalent).
Demonstratable track record in a senior leadership/director role (or equivalent).

Highly advanced level of commercial awareness, consulting & strategic acumen.
Highly advanced understanding of wider management principles and techniques.
Programme director, is a senior executive leadership role in the consult/construct business.
Vertical career progression may include a move to senior programme director (E2) or portfolio project director (E2).
Horizontal career progression may involve augmentation of size, scale & complexity of current portfolio, to potentially a larger, more complex & diverse portfolio or another consultancy or construct role.
You'll also have: Can lead transformation & change agendas for operational business areas.
Industry body practitioner/contributor/mentor e.g.
RICS, CIOB, ICE, APM, (or equivalent).
Leadership or Advisory role to an industry recognised professional body.
Strong track record of advanced leadership capabilities leading large complex programmes/projects with regional/global remit & integration of teams (or equivalent).
Strong track record of achieving business growth & increasing profitability in multi-country business (or equivalent).
Experience across more than one/several sectors at senior leadership levels.
Relevant professional training/accreditation (or equivalent).
