The role?
An exciting permanent role has arisen for a Crane Technician to join a busy team.
The role is based across locations in South West England.
You will be responsible for ensuring crane integrity is maintained and operated to current legislative, corporate and manufacturers recommendations and in line with client specifications.
Other duties will include carrying out fault-finding and breakdown maintenance work whilst liaising with the site team as required, to liaise and work with the incumbent contractors and other sub-contractors as required to carry out other and multi-discipline work on the cranes and assisting in investigations and recommend improvements following equipment failures or onset of deterioration of components, machinery or structural parts.
You will also be expected to update work and equipment history records on maintenance management systems electronically.
A van will be provided for the role as well as accommodation for the nights where the sites are not commutable.
You are?
To be successful for this role it is essential you hold an NVQ Level 3 in a recognised Apprenticeship, hold an 18th edition qualification and a Gantry Crane ECITB Crane Operator Certificate.
A CSCS Blue Card and knowledge and understanding of LOLER Regulations and LEEA Guidelines is also essential.
You must have a proven track record in operating gantry cranes and repair and maintenance of crane equipment to be considered for this role.
You must hold strong communication skills to have effective, decisive, consistent and clear communication with any banksman and/or site personnel.
You will have a strong background in crane operations and maintenance and therefore be able to perform most tasks and require minimal supervision.
You will have a UK driving licence.
