Finance and Admin Assistant, £27,000, Dorchester We are seeking a skilled and organised Finance and Admin Assistant to join a family-run engineering business.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the business, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation.
Our client offers tailored solutions across the domestic, commercial, and agricultural sectors, specialising in resource management, bespoke installations, and system optimisation.
With a combination of technical expertise and practical experience, they deliver a wide range of services including maintenance support and innovative project solutions.
As Finance and Admin Assistant, you will: Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and bank reconciliations Process accounts payable, receivable, and Bacs payments, and manage payroll processing Prepare monthly financial reports, assist with budget preparation, and support audits Handle phone reception, email communications, and manage stationery/postage Prepare quotes, letters, and health & safety documentation As Finance and Admin Assistant, you will have: Experience in QuickBooks and accounts payable processes Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage tasks independently Solid numerical and accounting knowledge Effective communication skills, with bookkeeping experience preferred Interested?
