CK Group are recruiting for a Laboratory Manager on behalf of an industry leading Laboratory and Analytical services provider, to be primarily based on one of their client sites in Stevenage, on an initial 9 month contract basis.
Company: Our client is a well established Laboratory partner with a broad range of service offerings.
Location: The role is based in Stevenage Role: Management of lab environments to ensure efficient operations within the customer lab space.
Perform system ownership responsibilities on a range of laboratory equipment and communication on instrument availability.
Liaise with facility engineering and communication of impacted business and interact with colleagues in other functions to solve technical problems.
Inspect customer labs for quality, process, and safety improvements.
Induct lab users and maintain overall oversight of the lab operations.
Align procedures and processes across customer lab spaces.
Provide insight for departmental EHS and Quality.
Work as a team with Lab Technician and Lab Support Coordinator to provide a seamless Lab Management Service.
Provide and escalate continuous improvement initiatives to benefit ways of working.
Your Background: Educated to degree level or above in Chemistry, Biology or a related disciple with experience in a Laboratory management role, ideally in a customer focused environment.
An understanding of the laboratory environment and EHS and Quality in Labs knowledge and experience.
Excellent organizational skills: ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently and strong attention to detail Excellent customer service and customer relations skills.
Ability to critically review ways of working effectively.
