Role Summary To support the Library & Knowledge Services Lead in the provision of the full range of library and information services to NHS staff and students across the Royal Devon in line with the Trust's library strategy, national accreditation standards and service level agreements with external stakeholder organisations.
This role includes managing the Barnstaple Hospital based library, knowledge and community services to support clinical care, evidence-based practice, management, education, training and research, organisational development, clinical governance and health promotion.

More detail about the role To oversee the day to day running and delivery of the Barnstaple Hospital based library service and supervise the front of house team.
To deputise for the Library & Knowledge Services Lead when appropriate.
To provide professional support in the Knowledge and Library Services Lead's absence, and be able to act independently without supervision, following guidelines and reporting processes.
Lone working could be required on occasion.
To contribute to creating the library strategy and business plans, in line with the Trust values and priorities, and Knowledge for Healthcare.
To manage, develop, co-ordinate, promote and enable easy access to all library systems, electronic resources and web services.
To ensure library colleagues have relevant training, in order to provide evidence-based information for the improvement of patient care, learning and development and research.
