Job summary We are looking for a focused, experienced and flexible Radiographer who shares CUH's ideals to join us and benefit from the rewards that our team provides for patients, staff members and the Community.The MRI department at CUH is one of the busiest Trusts in the UK and offers opportunities to get involved in a wealth of patient examinations, including Neuro, MSK, GI, GU, Gynae, Vascular, Thoracic, Cardiac, Paediatric and Research and Development.
You will be involved in types of imaging not carried out elsewhere in the country and in some research instances worldwide.We also provide and deliver a vast and complex workload for patients with medical devices implanted (Pacemakers, Neuro-stimulators, complex shunts, etc.
), having a dedicated and skilled team responsible for the service and this particular patient care.Due to our close links to the University, the Cambridge Biomedical Campus and commercial partners, we offer the opportunity to work with up-to-date technology and imaging protocols and be at the forefront of new research and development techniques.
We have seven MR systems, complemented by a network of MR experts, high-performance scanner hardware and supporting ancillary equipment.We have an MRI Upgrade programme ongoing, with worldwide state-of-the-art scanners in place and frequent software upgrades & optimisation to improve quality and patient care.

We provide a 24/7 emergency on-call service and participation will be required by default.

Monday to Sunday shift pattern at CUH and Ely Community Diagnostic Centre.
A welcome subsidy of £1000 is available to all Band 5 and Band 6 Nurses, Midwives, ODPs and Radiographers and Band 5 Orthoptists taking up substantive employment with the Trust.
Due to Home Office immigration rules, a full time permanent vacancy cannot be filled by individuals on a Student visa.
