Assistant Practitioner - Acute - ANNEX 21The RoleNHS Lanarkshire is excited to offer several Trainee Assistant Practitioner positions across our Acute Sites.We are actively seeking candidates for roles within; University Hospital Hairmyres - Here we have 2 roles ( Stonehouse and Ward 8 ) University Hospital Monklands - Here we have 4 roles ( 1 for each directorate MOA, Medical, Surgical and Emergency Care) University Hospital Wishaw - Here we have 7 roles ( 3 in MOA, 3 in T&O and 1 in Emergency Care )This unique opportunity includes a tailored educational program created in collaboration with New College Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire College.In the role of an Assistant Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:Serving as an integral part of the healthcare team, guided by registered Nursing Practitioners.Helping patients meet their healthcare and rehabilitation objectives.Supporting and delivering evidence-based care by aiding in the planning, execution, delivery, and assessment of patient care.Conducting initial assessments within set parameters for the specified care area.Applying specialized technical and practical skills to provide adaptable, patient-focused, safe, and efficient care.Trainee Assistant Practitioners are appointed to the role using an HR process called Annex 21, this means that you will be paid 75% in year 1 for a 12 month traineeship until you achieve your academic qualification and completion of clinical competency assessments.In reality though your salary will be uplifted to ensure compliance with the Scottish Living Wage.Interviews for this post will be held week beginning 9th DecemberStart Dates are expected to Towards the end of JanuaryInformation EventJoin us for an online information session on the dates below.
