After all, we believe in 'caring for our loved ones, like they cared for us' About you You must have both experience working as a Deputy Manager in a Residential/ Nursing home and have an understanding of the Standards as set out by the Care Quality Commission.
You will need to have a good knowledge and experience of producing well-developed care plans and detailed risk assessments is important too, as is an understanding of regulatory frameworks, including DoLs/MCA.

Job Overview You will be ultimately taking responsibility of the care and wellbeing of our residents which includes making sure their physical, emotional and social needs are met but also leading, motivating and mentoring your team of carers.
Responsibilities include supporting and monitoring our care team, formulation of staffing Rota's, compilation of care plans, shared on call responsibilities with the home manager.
Supporting the home manager during supernumerary shifts to monitor and review standards of care and performance in order to meet CQC regulations.
The successful candidate will support the Registered Manager by promoting excellent care delivery.
Promoting all our residents' independence, dignity and choice is extremely important to us and this will come naturally to you.
Maintaining accurate records is very important and you will have an eye for detail, to enable if any problems arise you are well equipped and ready to deal with this.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Job Ensure Service Users are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing.
Undertake the Care Planning activities for Service Users to meet changing physical, psychological and social needs, taking into consideration privacy, dignity, personal choice, and informed consent.
Ensure Care Plans are developed in collaboration with Service Users, their family, and friends (where appropriate) and members of the multi-disciplinary team.
Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support Act as a mentor to others and help to build strong team relationships.
Update and monitor care plans, reviewing them as and when required Liaise with other healthcare professionalse.

To maintain skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain that currency of practice.
To manage the service in accordance with standards agreed with Home Manager, the Registered Provider, legislative requirements, relevant regulations and in line with accepted best practice, and within the financial plans agreed from time-to-time with the Registered Provider.
Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support.
Ensure residents are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing.
The efficient and effective day-to-day management of the human resources involved in providing care through the staff team and ensuring that the required standards are maintained.
Ensuring all recording systems and organisational documentation are of a high standard and kept up to date.
To ensure all We Care Group staff receive formal supervision and appraisals.
Oversee the duty rota monthly in advance ensuring the correct skills and numbers on duty.
Develop effective working relationships with all employees within We Care Group.
Work in cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for people in the service.
Work within the relevant Code of Conduct, e.g.
NMC.
Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Be registered with the relevant body and work within the Code of Conduct.
Obtain the relevant qualifications required to work in the deputising role, e.g., management qualification commensurate with the role.
