Job summary Followinga hugely successful Recruitment Open Day on 27th November, a rare opportunity has arisen within the within Neurodiversityservices.
This post would be perfect for someone with an interest in supportingservice users with neurodiverse conditions which are often found co-morbidly.
Youwill work as an autonomous practitioner providing needs-led clinical care andrequired to use skills of person-centred collaborative working; assessment, anddiagnosis; condition management and treatment.
TheAdult Neurodiversity services are provided jointly with CPG based at ValWaterhouse Centre, Grimsby.
Interviews will be on 10th December6-8pm - attendance required for full session, followed by a panel interview on18th December - time tbc.
Main duties of the job You will draw on your experience and knowledge andadminister needs-lead assessment, treatment and guidance, utilising evidencebased assessment tools to support your clinical judgement in the assessment ofadults with neurodiverse conditions.
You will work as part of a team to identifywhat support/ needs are required for individuals referred into AdultNeurodiversity services, whether that be a diagnostic assessment, or signpostpeople who may benefit more fromalternative/ appropriate services to meet their individual needs.
You may be required to build up a caseload of people who youwill prescribe medication for treatment, if this is identified (for example,ADHD).
You may also support them with accessing groups/ support groups, or otherNICE approved interventions offered.
You will be part of an MDT approach and support thetriage and screening of referrals, discussions relating to diagnosticassessments and treatment/prescribing of medication.

Participate in administration and interpretation of specificassessment tools with assessments and communicate the results to theMultidisciplinary Team.Act as a specialist expert resource within the service inrespect of this service user group working autonomously to support families andother health care professionals.

Person Specification Knowledge Essential An excellent understanding of mental health conditions and services, including relevant legislation.
Knowledge and understanding of the assessment and management of service users in determining whether presentations may be because of neurodiverse conditions or other differential diagnosis.
Good knowledge of typical and disordered child development and the potential impact of neurodiversity on the emotional, intellectual and social development and ability to recognise co-morbidities and secondary behaviours.
Knowledge of equality, diversity, inclusion and human rights and its importance.
Qualifications Essential Registered healthcare professional ( NMC or HCPC) Leadership qualification - or be able to demonstrate advanced leadership and management skills; motivation, team building, developing positive interpersonal relationships, negotiation, conflict resolution, problem solving, managing change Desirable Specific Training in Neurodiversity Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification Masters Level or Post Graduate advanced clinical/professional qualification or be able to fully demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience Experience Essential Experience of working with Adults with a wide range of mental health or neurodiverse conditions.
Demonstrable experience of complete decision making and of leading complex case multi disciplinary meetings Previous demonstrable experience in managing highly complex cases Previous mentor or supervisory role and ability to demonstrate principles and values of clinical supervision Significant experience where a degree of autonomous working has been required Desirable Demonstrable and extensive understanding and knowledge of Neurodiverse, mental and physical health conditions across the age range Previous leadership roles or qualifications and responsibility for managerial supervision Have lead in complex situations and cases where adult / children safeguarding / use of the mental health act / use of the mental capacity act has been a feature.
