You will be working within the Procurement Excellence & Sustainability discipline supporting the business and will work closely with wider Procurement and Commercial Teams.
The Specialist, reporting to the Process & Systems Manager, is responsible for: Creating and updating/managing purchase orders across all categories and subcategories of spendMaintaining the procurement contract databaseProviding first line support to outsourced Procurement Services team members, both from a process & system delivery perspectiveSupporting stakeholders with requests of goods/services not within our catalogue and constructively challenging where appropriate/necessaryAnswering and managing incoming callsDocument processing, record keeping, maintenance of information and databases, dealing with correspondence, preparing documents and reportsMaintaining and managing filing systems both electronic and paperUpdate spreadsheets, databases and Procurement systemsManage other procurement mechanisms that enable the P2P process (e.g.
P-Card)About YouWe are looking for a person with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, with a passion for service and a commercial mind-set.
Self-motivation, adaptability and resilience are also important qualities for this role, as well as being a team player.
Solid Microsoft Office skills and strong numerical and data analysis skills are required.
Experience in SAP SRM or other Procurement purchasing systems would be advantageous.
Maths & English at GCSE A-C/4+ is essential for this role.
Studying CIPs or an interest in CIPs qualifications is preferred but not essential.For the right candidate this could open a career path in Procurement at Southern Water, including support furthering your personal development.
PackageThis role will be full time Monday to Friday with a hybrid approach to working between our Durrington office and home.
