We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistant to provide crucial support to students with a range of learning needs.
As a vital member of our team, you will play an essential role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities Provide 1:1 support to students with special educational needs Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans Offer academic support in various subjects and assist with tailored interventions Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to meet the diverse needs of students Support students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs Utilize a range of strategies to promote a sensory-friendly and accessible classroom Qualifications Previous experience in providing 1:1 support to individuals with SEN Strong understanding of different special educational needs and interventions Ability to adapt to diverse learning styles and needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Empathy, patience, and a compassionate approach to supporting students Relevant qualifications or training in SEN or related fields is desirable Day-to-Day Working closely with students to provide tailored support and interventions Collaborating with teachers to create inclusive lesson plans and activities Monitoring and tracking students' progress and providing feedback to teachers Implementing sensory-friendly strategies and accommodations in the classroom Building strong relationships with students, promoting a positive and nurturing environment
