We are looking for a salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team.
We would prefer 4-6 sessions, but this could be negotiable for the right candidate.
We would welcome applications from GPs at any stage in their career including new to GP Fellowship schemes, so this can be for any GP that will be newly qualified or about to in the next year.

We are very focused on well-being and team development, holding 4 Time in Sessions per year and we have clinical meetings most weeks.
We have a strong focus on staff well-being and during the pandemic created a small garden and zen room to take time out in.
We also have regular and one-off social and well-being events.
We are a 4-partner practice, and we employ a management team, 7 salaried GPs, 2 Practice Nurses, 3 Health Care Assistants, 2 Paramedics, 1 Physicians Associate, 3 Pharmacists, and 2 Pharmacy technicians.
We also work with the PCN and have ARRS roles in Mental Health, Physiotherapy, Cancer Care Coordinator, paramedics for a home visiting service, and administrators.
The Practice has excellent facilities for patients and staff, which comprise 8 GP Consulting Rooms, 2 examination rooms, and 3 Nurse Treatment Rooms with preparation areas: office accommodation, meeting rooms, and a communal kitchen area for lunch and coffee.
Main duties of the job In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/herself available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, and dealing with queries, paperwork, and correspondence in a timely fashion.
Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation.
Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
In consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health.
Providing counselling and health education.
Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate using the RMS system.
An extension to the terms and conditions are held in a Staff Handbook available on request.
About us We have efficient systems for reducing GP workload: Our pharmacists and nursing team play an integral role within the organisation delivering our Long-Term Condition Management as well as managing medication changes from hospital letters and discharges.
We have pharmacy team support daily which helps reduce GP workload and they are always available to offer medicines advice.
Our administration team consists of skilled medical secretaries who deal with all referrals and help with all correspondence to external health professionals.
We have a proficient coding team that will ensure your correspondence is kept to a minimum, freeing your time up to concentrate on contact time with patients and good clinical care.
Our friendly receptionists ensure that your surgeries run smoothly on a day-to-day basis.
We also have a navigator system that has been developed specifically to the Practices vision and this helps with continuity of patient care.
Job responsibilities Job summary: The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.

We are keen to recruit GPs who can provide additional skills and want to develop services within the practice.

Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
Collecting data for audit purposes and reflecting on practice by completing SEAs and Audit cycles.
Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible).
Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary and within budget.
In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
Take part in the daily on-call rota.
Take part in the in-house educational program including Time Ins, clinical meetings, meeting revalidation criteria, and mandatory training.
Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines, e.g., prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety.
An extension to the terms and conditions are held in a Staff Handbook available on request.
The successful applicant will need to have personal cover with a professional defence organisation and will be required to prove evidence of insurance cover and GMC membership on an annual basis to the Manager.
Presently Medical Indemnity is paid by the Practice.
