We are looking for a talented Mid-Senior Big Data Engineer to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in PostgreSQL, including SQL development and DBA tasks, with PostgreSQL DBA expertise being a highly valuable asset.

W hat you'll be getting up to:  Develop and maintain Data Warehouse solutions, including both big data platforms (e.g., BigQuery) and PostgreSQL.
Perform light PostgreSQL DBA activities, such as managing backups, profiling, and job monitoring.
Design, build, and maintain ETL processes.
Develop and generate reports based on data insights.
Assist with machine learning tasks or take the lead in driving them, depending on your interest.
R equirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
Proficiency in Python 3.8+ and frameworks such as Flask and AIOHTTP.
Knowledge of Golang or other programming languages is a plus.
Familiarity with big data tools and architectures, including BigQuery, Dataform, Apache Beam, Firestore, Cloudera Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Snowflake, Spark, etc.
Experience with some of these tools is beneficial but not mandatory.
Experience with messaging systems such as GCP Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ, and Amazon SQS.
Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and GCP certification is a plus.
Strong experience in building and maintaining ETL systems.
Solid understanding of data structures, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
Advanced SQL skills, including the ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, and bulk data transfers.
Experience with CTE, recursion, window functions, and advanced grouping is required.
Some experience with DBA activities, including backup management, job scheduling, query optimization, indexing, and profiling (PostgreSQL experience is a plus).
Knowledge of API development, including basic understanding of HTTP, REST, and gRPC (gRPC experience is a plus).
Experience with telematics interfaces and streaming solutions such as MQTT, NiFi, Kafka, etc., is beneficial.
Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD processes.
Knowledge of Docker is a plus.
Basic Machine learning experience or a strong desire to learn.
