We're committed to excellence in everything we do, and we're seeking talented individuals who share our passion and values to join our team.Reporting to the Team Lead, you will work within the supply chain team to plan the availability of spare parts to fulfil customer orders.
You will also be responsible for the creation of purchase orders for products to maintain the inventory levels set for the department and ensure costs and service levels to customers are maintained.What you'll doAnalyse and maintain system planning recommendationsUnderstand planning drivers to achieve best parts availability targetsMonitor Inventory levels to stay within inventory targetsWork to avoid stock outsDrive incremental continuous improvement in KPIsActively control and calibrate planning system parameters, replenishment rules and stock levels as required for all materialsCollaborate with colleagues on other sites to align Supply chain process.Create Purchase Orders & Requisitions in our ERP system to meet demandOrganise freight and collections from suppliers where neededGather pricing and availability information from suppliersRun overdue PO Reports and expedite late orders with suppliersUpdate Supply chain parameters and data in our ERP system ORACLEMaintain and develop relationships with suppliersResolve invoice queries in a timely mannerMaintain and review system master data.
Maintain accurate supplier lead times.
What you'll bring Experience of planning/buying is preferred but not necessary, may suit graduate or someone with experience in other industries/businesses – training will be given to the successful candidateHave an enquiring mind with a desire not only to follow existing process but to understand the process and improve itHave a solid commitment to accuracy in your work and understanding of the importance of accuracy in a high-volume business where actions are driven by your input.Educated to a minimum of A level Standard or equivalent, degree preferredGood knowledge of mathematics and statistics Good general IT & Microsoft skills especially Advanced ExcelAbility to organise and prioritise workload using your own initiative to meet deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills Commitment to continuous improvement and developing new processes.
Ability to work under pressure, plan your own workload and manage tight timelines.
Ability to handle very large data sets and recognise trends therein.
