We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer to join our team on contract/permanent basis to be based in Woking.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in system definition, architecture development, requirements specification, design/performance modelling, systems integration, system assessment, and acceptance.
This role requires a systematic and structured approach to ensure high-quality output and effective stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities: Decompose high-level requirements into vehicle and system-level specifications, ensuring alignment with higher-level product and legal requirements.
Provide design guidance to ensure system designs meet all necessary standards and requirements.
Manage projects with basic planning, reporting, and governance within the area of responsibility.
Utilize IBM Rational DOORS and Jama for requirements management.
Use JIRA or similar tools for project tracking and management.
Apply knowledge of standards such as Automotive SPICE, CMMI, ISO 26262, ISO 21434, and Software Update Management Systems (SUMS).
Qualifications: Significant experience in system definition, architecture development, requirements specification, design/performance modeling, systems integration, system assessment, and acceptance.
Proficiency in IBM Rational DOORS and Jama.
Experience with JIRA or similar project management tools.
Knowledge of Automotive SPICE, CMMI, ISO 26262, ISO 21434, and SUMS.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex topics for senior management.
Self-motivated with the ability to lead activities and contribute to high-quality work products.
Systematic and structured approach to work, providing a clear framework for stakeholders.
High self-motivation to meet program deadlines in a challenging environment.
Preferred Skills: Strong project management skills.
Ability to work effectively as a leader and team member.
Experience in automotive or related industries.
