Interface Team Lead

Job summary The Epic Interfacing team leader will manage a team of application analysts responsible for interfacing and interoperability development at Cambridge University NHS Foundation Trust.
The post holder will require in depth specialist knowledge of the Epic system and experience in the use of interfaces to transfer data between electronic patient records in the NHS, enabling clinical pathways to traverse system boundaries.
Main duties of the job Day to day the individual will liaise with the workstream configuration and clinical leads to understand the interface and integration requirements.
The individual will then create and manage interface developments, aligned to the Trusts IT change management methodology so that all changes are managed in a structured fashion.
This approach will ensure that all changes across the technology environments are synchronised, impact assessed and released with minimal friction across the Trusts technology landscape.The individual will be responsible for the complete build, deployment and testing of Bridges, InterSystems, .NET and other 3rd party interfaces.
They will be experienced in developing HL7, IHE, FHIR, .NET or other technical interfaces on Epic, InterSystems or alternative EPR and Integration platforms.
This level of experience will enable the individual to design and develop interfaces that will allow IT systems to talk to each other using modern interoperability standards.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Master's degree or equivalent experience Epic certification in Bridges or other relevant application Desirable PRINCE/MSP or other project management qualification Experience Essential Line management/team leadership experience Design and delivery of workflows/processes Experience of working with the Epic EPR system Experience of working with senior clinicians, consultant medical staff and other senior managers Experience of delivery of benefits from the implementation of technology / services Experience of working to tight deadlines Desirable Experience of managing clinical and/or operational services within the NHS Configuration and adaptation of EPR technology to meet the needs of users Application support service delivery Knowledge Essential In depth specialist knowledge of clinical and/or operational workflows and processes in a healthcare setting Knowledge of the Epic EPR system High degree of ability to make complex judgments and solve complex process and analytical problems Desirable Understanding of NHS operational and/or clinical management Skills Essential Excellent analytical skills for complex business and clinical processes Sound project management skills Highly complex application technical skills Good people management skills Excellent communication skills - with ability to communicate to large groups of staff and senior/board level executives and clinicians.
