Main duties of the job The role of the Matron is a dynamic role that requires motivation and a creative approach to focusing on quality and patient safety work.
You will be a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who cares passionately about quality improvement, patient experience and outcomes.
You will deliver the Matron role by developing others and forming strong relationships, by setting direction and supporting others to work collaboratively towards achieving excellence in patient care.
The successful candidate will work with the Head of Nursing and AHPs in partnership with the Clinical Nurse Manager and other senior colleagues at the Tamarind Centre.
Key areas of responsibility are as follows.
Improving professional Nursing standards Improving clinical standards Improving and maintaining Infection, Prevention and Control standards Overseeing complaints, patient and staff feedback PSIRF Oversight of Safeguarding Involvement in Safe Staffing Legislative and statutory audit and compliance Leading on Reducing Restrictive Practice for nursing You will be a highly visible leader within the hospital so excellent communication and organisational skills are essential to be effective in this role.
