This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with a passion for mental health law to make a meaningful impact while working in a hybrid environment.
The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice and representation to clients facing mental health issues, including those detained under the Mental Health Act.
The Role In this role, you will: Advise and represent clients on mental health law matters, including tribunal applications, appeals, and other related issues.
Conduct casework and manage a varied caseload, ensuring compliance with legal and procedural requirements.
Liaise with mental health professionals, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders to support client needs.
Provide legal representation at mental health review tribunals and other hearings.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the highest quality of service is delivered to clients.
Keep abreast of developments in mental health law and participate in training and professional development opportunities.
About You: The ideal candidate will have: A qualified solicitor or fee earner with experience in mental health law, ideally with panel membership.
Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act and relevant legislation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
A compassionate and client-focused approach to legal practice.
The ability to manage a busy caseload while maintaining high standards of client care.
A commitment to continuous professional development and staying informed about changes in mental health law.
