As an organisation we provide comprehensive mental health and learning disability services to the population of Coventry and Warwickshire.
The Trust has a strategic aim of developing a Children's Integrated Directorate which includes mental and physical health services alongside neurodevelopmental and children's learning disability services.
Main duties of the job We are looking to employ an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our well-established Neurodevelopmental, IST and CCLDT services.
These services are currently transferring into a new Children's Integrated Directorate and the successful applicant will play a key role in the successful transformation.
You will work alongside the General and Service Managers and other clinical and team leads to provide, as part of our local Autism Strategy, excellent quality assessment and intervention services to neurodivergent children and young people and to those with a learning disability.
Your teams will include a range of Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, Allied Health Professionals, Nursing and Social Care Colleagues.
Key tasks of this role include oversight and governance of the assessment pathways for autism and ADHD, supporting the IST to reduce Tier 4 mental health hospital admissions in line with Coventry and Warwickshire's Transforming Care Programme and clinical oversight and governance of the Psychological Professions in the CCLDT.
There is robust multi-professional working within the service and with partner agencies and providers with the contribution of the psychological professions being highly valued.

We have well-established links with the Coventry and Warwick Doctoral Training courses in Clinical Psychology, providing placements, teaching and supervising doctoral research projects.
We also have research links with Warwick University and there will be opportunities to maintain/develop your research skills.
Suitable candidates will have considerable clinical experience and demonstrate highly specialist psychological knowledge in the field of neurodiversity and CLDTs for children.
They will have a thorough understanding of the national, regional and local context around transformational change in relation to admission avoidance.
They will demonstrate experience of leading on quality improvement initiatives within neurodevelopmental and community learning disability settings.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Psychological services qualification, with current HPC registration Doctoral level psychological services qualification or equivalent experience Extensive experience in a senior position Evidence of continuous professional development Knowledge and skills Essential Excellent Clinical and Clinical Leadership skills Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences, verbally and in written reports Able to work within a multiprofessional team Able to work collaboratively with partner organisations Ability to manage conflict Excellent working knowledge of the current legislation and drivers in relation to the service.
Knowledge and skills in the delivery of neurodevelopmental and LD services Experience Essential Experience and evidence of managing people/teams Experience of managing change and associated behaviours Experience of developing policies and procedures Experience of Clinical Leadership Experience and evidence of effective multi disciplinary team working.
