Senior Estimator

Senior Estimator / Estimator required for a top Civil Engineering Contractor Navartis is working with a Top main contractor who operate in Civil Engineering and Infrastructure sectors and work on many prestigious major projects across the UK.
You would join their team as a Senior Estimator in their Head Office near to Preston and work on some civil engineering sector projects.
They have completed numerous major civils projects around the UK and have some prestigious projects in the pipeline so are looking to add to their preconstruction team.
Experience required: Civil Engineering / Infrastructure Sector background.
5 years experience of Estimating Knowledge of NEC 3 / NEC 4 experience Experience of Candy / ConQuest or other similar estimating software Strong time management Excellent communication skills Degree (Desirable) Duties include: Reporting to and Assisting the Managing Estimator and Senior management team Working on estimates for projects such as roads, highways, bridges and public realm.
Price civil engineering activities such as earthworks, drainage, ducting and paving from 1st principles, building up labour, plant, material cost components.
Identify risks/opportunities and incorporate them into a tender bid.
Identify additional information required to inform and benefit the tender.
Prepare programme/construction sequence, to establish constructions periods.
Ability to use ASTA Powerproject ideal but training can be provided.
Compile a comprehensive net cost estimate for the works, including preliminary items.
Timely submission of tender, ensuring that the Clients requirements and specifications are met in full.
