Admin Team Leader

Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to become an Administrative Team Leader/Medical Secretary within the North Wales Adolescent Service, based in Abergele.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day management of the administrative and clerical staff within the team and will also provide a secretarial service to the Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Consultant Psychiatrist and other clinical staff within the North Wales Adolescent Service.
Main duties of the job Applicants must be a team player and be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
They must be able to work flexibly and have the ability to prioritise, and work well under pressure.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification Experience Essential Significant office administration experience Experience of working to strict deadlines and prioritising tasks.
Experience of communicating confidential information.
Experience of using Microsoft Packages such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Desirable Experience of supervising and/or managing staff.
Experience of organising workload and people Experience of coordinating administration activities.
Skills Essential Able to use electronic information systems.
Organisation - ability to manage diaries, set up filing systems, work to strict deadlines and prioritise tasks.
Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders.
Able to work independently but also as an effective team player.
Knowledge of patient confidentiality.
Desirable Previous experience using the hospital WPAS or similar system.
Personal Qualities Essential Enthusiastic, motivated and approachable.
Strength of character and confidence to overcome obstacles in a balanced and sensitive manner.
Be able to meet the challenges of a changing organisation.
Patient focused approach.
Ability to cope under pressure Other Essential Able to work under own initiative whilst understanding the need to seek advice from seniors as necessary.
Qualifications and/or Knowledge Essential Level 3 Diploma in Medical administration or equivalent experience NVQ 4 in Business admin, customer care or management, or equivalent qualification (or working towards/ willing to achieve within 2 years) Desirable ILM Team Leading qualification/ willingness to learn or equivalent qualification or experience.
