Job summary Hours Per WeekThis Electrical role is basedat Fieldhead Hospital in Wakefield but covers other health centres in the Wakefieldand surrounding areas that sits under the trust footprint.The role is maintaining all Electricalbased jobs internally and externally on the buildings.The work is varied and changeson a day to day basis in line with service need requirements and prioritisationof works.Estates trust vehicles areutilised for traveling around the footprint of the trust and the successfulcandidates skillset may at times need to be used on the Barnsley propertieswhich includes Kendray hospital which has inpatient mental health units andCheswold Hospital which is a medium to low secure unit based in Doncaster.This is an exciting role forthe right candidate that likes a challenge in a very demanding environment.The successful candidate willbecome part of a small team of Electricians who work in with and support othertrades and maintenance assistants in day to day duties.Reactive works and statutoryPPM are the main duties of this post.At the time of advertising,this role does not meet the minimum requirements (salary threshold oroccupational requirements) set by UKVisas and Immigration to sponsor candidates to work in the UK.

Main duties of the job Maintain all aspects of Electrical equipment to a highstandard while being aware and respectful of your surroundings.Carry out repairs and PPM on a daily basis to keep thebuildings safe and compliant to HTMs and all relevant British standardsTo be able to carry out work from drawings provided andadapt where necessary to overcome problemsWhile carrying out tasks always work within our trustvalues:Honest open transparentRespectfulPerson first and in the centreImprove and be outstandingRelevant today ready fortomorrowFamilies and carers matterTo be part of an on call rota covering emergencyrepairs/making safe out of hours.Be responsible for ordering stock as and when requiredManage your own work load with the use of a hand helddevice while understanding the importance of different SLA times.Solve electrical problems on complex systems.Carry out work to the 18th edition Wiring RegsWe are aware that an increasing number of applicants are using AI technology to generate responses on NHS Job application forms.
